PelicanDream has a strict privacy policy that means we do not sell or rent your personal information to others.

We protect the information you make available when you visit our Web site, when you register on our site, when you purchase PelicanDream products and services or when you call our support desk.

We use this information to provide you with the services you have signed up for and as data to help us to improve our service and products.

If you wish to deregister at any time, you may do so by visiting www.pelicandream.com/ login and update your personal contact information and preferences.

Why we collect data

It helps us deliver a superior customer service and give you more convenient access to our products and services. It also helps us keep you posted on our latest news and website announcements, special offers and events that you might like to know about.

What data we collect

We only collect information relevant to the service you are registering for on our Website, such as your contact details, the service you purchased or registered for and information relating to a support or service issue.

If you pay for any of our services by phone using your Credit Card, your card details are only used at the moment of purchase to key into the Payment Terminal we use and not held or stored either physically or electronically by PelicanDream.

Any other information you give us such as your interests or hobbies we will use only to guide us in providing new services or content on the website.

If you use a public bulletin board or chat room such as PelicanDream Blogs, PelicanDream Forum you should remember that any information you share is visible to other users. You should take care not to give contact information unless you wish to be contacted by members of the public. PelicanDream is not responsible for any information you make available in these forums.

Payment Policies

All web hosting accounts are set up on a prepay basis. Although PelicanDream reserves the right to change prices of accounts or services at any time, all pricing is guaranteed for the period of prepayment. Any changes to prices will be clearly communicated to customers prior to their application, with customers being given one month's notice of any changes. Notice will be served via email, to the email address held on the PelicanDream account. Payment is due every 30 or 365 days, from the date the account was established.

Where customers have paid via a PayPal automatic renewal, they will automatically be charged again for the service through PayPal at the end of their prepay period unless confirmation of the wish to close has already been received.

In situations where the payment is declined PelicanDream will immediately suspend the facility to purchase services on-line until the outstanding charge is processed successfully. In addition, PelicanDream reserves the right to suspend other services until the outstanding debt is cleared. Any non-payment of a recurring invoice may be subject to a £20 administration charge. The customer is responsible for all money owed on the account from the time it was established to the time that the customer sends a written cancellation request.

You are required to have a valid credit/debit card or PayPal account and email address registered on your account at all times, failure to do so may result in suspension of your account.

No bills or invoices will be sent by regular mail. All invoices will be sent directly to customers via email shortly after the online purchase has been made.

Financial Data
Storage

PelicanDream does not store any financial and /or credit card or debit card data.

PayPal Payments processed by PayPal are subject to PayPal's terms and conditions of service. Please refer to PayPal's own Privacy Policies regarding their services and data storage.

When Data is Disclosed

When you sign up to purchase a product or service from a company through PelicanDream you provide that company with the details it requests. These companies are also obliged to protect your personal information but you should check their privacy policies for yourself.

You should be aware that should you break the law by publishing illegal content in one of our Forums or Blogs, such as pornography or incitement to hatred and violence or threaten national security we will refer this to the relevant authorities.

Delivery of Goods and Services:


All web hosting services are delivered or start within minutes after payment is received.

Photo's, Screen Savers, eBooks and other digital media are delivered through secure download options immediately after payment is received. Users buying such digital media will receive their password and login details be email and be directed to a download page on the PelicanDream website.

For Posters and Books ordered and paid for, although we will package and ship the product immediately if in stock (which will be indicated at the time of purchase) due to difficulties with the UK Postal System beyond our control, please 1 week for delivery in the UK and 2-3 weeks for delivery in Europe, the USA or South Africa.

For services such as Web Design, Logo or Print Design projects, these are delivered in the stages and time frame set out in our design agreements, which are signed and agreed with each customer on a personal customer by customer basis, depending on the scale of the project and the agreed time-frame for delivery.

30 Day Trial

For customers opening their first account the initial 30 days are available on a trial basis. Customers will not be entitled to this benefit if they have previously had an account with PelicanDream unless the period of absence has been greater than one year. New customers will not be entitled to a trial period if any account has previously been created at the same postal address within the same 12 month time span.

The 30 day trial does not apply to our Domains, Broadband or Dedicated Server offerings.

Contract Terms

All hosting, email and dedicated server accounts are subject to a 12 month minimum contract term.

Cancellations

  • After the minimum contract period, customers may cancel any package by contacting the Customer Care team on +44 (0) 2084 171 604 (Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm UK time). Customers must provide details of the account / package to close, including the account Owner Password for verification. PelicanDream will not, under any circumstances, close an account without first confirming the Owner Password.

  • Customers will be required to complete a Closure Confirmation form, authorising the permanent removal of all website and email services on the account, from our system.

  • On receipt of a completed Closure Confirmation form, the account will be scheduled to close. PelicanDream will acknowledge the closure by sending an email to the email address registered on the account.

  • If PelicanDream do not receive the completed Closure Confirmation form within 14 days of sending, the cancellation request will be discarded and the account/package will remain open.

  • Any incentives that were offered to customers when opening their account will also be cancelled. Customers may be given the option to purchase services which were offered as start-up incentives, in the result of a cancellation.

  • PelicanDream reserves the right to cancel the service at any time.

Refunds

  • Fees charged on a pre-pay basis (together with account set-up fees, where applicable), are non-refundable.

  • Customers will only be entitled to a refund when the service is within a trial period, or where the service is cancelled by PelicanDream.

  • In the event that PelicanDream cancels the customer's service, the customer will be entitled to a pro rata refund based upon the remaining period of membership. If a customer contravenes PelicanDream' Terms of Service a refund may not be issued in the event of a cancellation.

  • Customers who cancel during the initial 30 day trial period will only be entitled to a full refund for their hosting fees, but will not be entitled to a refund for any additional services purchased. Any incentives offered to customers when opening the account will also be cancelled. Customers may be given the option to purchase services which were offered as start-up incentives in the result of a cancellation.

  • Domain credits are non-refundable as they enable the purchase of domain names at discounted prices, based on an up-front commitment.

Chargebacks

Any customer withdrawing payments via bank or credit card or PayPal account (a "chargeback") may be subject to a punitive fee of £50, should the company deem this chargeback to be unfair. The company also reserves its right to defend such chargebacks and recover the original monies from the card issuer.


How your personal information is protected

PelicanDream takes precautions — including administrative, technical and physical measures — to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft and misuse, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

The PelicanDream Store uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all Web pages where personal information is required. To make purchases from the PelicanDream Store, you must use an SSL-enabled browser such as FireFox, Safari, or Internet Explorer.

You should also take precautions to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet. Change your passwords often using a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you use a secure Web browser.

Cookies and other technologies


As is standard practice on many corporate Web sites, PelicanDream’s Web site uses “cookies” and other technologies to study general traffic patterns on our Web site. It also allows us to welcome you when you login to PelicanDream.

If, however, you prefer not to enable cookies, you can disable this in your browser preferences. Please note that certain features and functions of the FemailSpace Web site will not be available once cookies are disabled.

In common with other Web sites, some information is automatically stored in our log files. This includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and clickstream data.

We do not use this information to identify individual visitors and it is used only to administer the site, analyse general trends, note which sections of the site are visited and which part of the world our visitors are from.

In some of our email messages we use a “click-through URL” linked to content on the PelicanDream Web site. When customers click one of these URLs, they pass through our Web server before arriving at the destination Web page. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked simply avoid clicking text or graphic links in the email.

Our commitment to your privacy

Within PelicanDream we take great care to ensure your personal information is secure. We strictly enforce privacy safeguards within the company. We take stringent measures to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration of your information. We enforce our PelicanDream privacy policy and security at every level of our company and with all employees.

We do not knowingly solicit personal information from minors or send them requests for personal information.

PelicanDream may update its privacy policy from time to time. If we change our policy in any way we will post a notice on our Web site with the updated privacy policy.

PelicanDream’s Web site has links to the sites of other companies. PelicanDream is not responsible for their privacy practices and we encourage you to learn about the privacy policies of those companies.
